The first owner of the land was the pharmacist Jozef Kanzof, son of an Englishman named Luici. The Guney Palas was built in December 1990 and sold to his highness, Sait Pasa. The next owner was Ali Namik Efendi, in 1905. Then, it was sold to Certified Engineer Ragıp Devres in 1933.

From then on, Guney Palas hosted many renowned and reputed individuals. From fashion designers and poets to movie makers and writers, many remarkable people stayed there.
