Josef: Awful experience. Service was appalling from the start. Those "waiters" don't belong in this line of work. Instead of sweet and sour sauce they gave as ketchup for our starters. They didn't bother to apologize when we confronted them about it. It didn't stop them there. For our main meals we ordered chicken and meat but there was more mushrooms and broccoli than thinly sliced pieces of chicken and meat. At the same time those "waiters" tried to scam another table by trying to overbill them. Definitely not the place you want to dine in.
Val: Absolutely disgusting. all the food have zero taste, and a lot of the utensils are extremely dirty. Due to the lack of taste in food, I had to add a lot of soy sauce, even this the soy sauce taste very sour and not salty at all like how it is suppose to be. The toilets are also very dirty and all the walls are stained black. Not a single food tasted good or even decent, never going back again, waste of time, effort, and money. By far the worst chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. Do not bother going.
RYL: Absolutely horrible food, everything served was so tasteless the best dish in the restaurant was the rice. The place supposedly calls itself a Chinese restaurant when all they served were roasted vegetables, normal eggs and flavored water.

JIA HE: I had a somewhat mixed experience during my visit to Shang Palace. Comparing it to other Shang Palace locations, I was quite surprised by the quality of the "mouth-watering chicken" dish, which was served warm instead of cold. The explanation for this was rather confusing, as the waiter first mentioned it was due to room temperature, while the manager later suggested that we had arrived early, and the dish was still hot from being freshly prepared. For the record, we placed our order at 6:19 pm, 19 minutes after the restaurant opened at 6 pm.That being said, the overall service at Shang Palace was still better than what one might experience at other restaurants. However, the inconsistency in food preparation and communication left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

Sinem Öz: A very stylish, simple and beautiful Chinese restaurant inside the hotel next to the Beşiktaş pier. The food reflects the culture and is quite delicious. It is a good idea to make a reservation for Peking duck in advance. A meticulous and caring team strives for your happiness. The menu also has food ingredients that you can examine in detail. Thank you for our hard workers. But to put it bluntly, it is not a place to sit and enjoy for hours and eat a stylish and delicious meal in a quiet environment in 1-2 hours.. There is no restaurant area such as smoking etc. It is like a closed room with no windows on the lower floors of the hotel.. Jyotsna: The food was amazing at the first visit, so went there the next day again. Again, especially the hot fish dish was fresh and delicious which my mom loved alot. Also ideal for vegetarians with varieties of good vegetarian dishes. In addition, they've got a decent portion size, and the staff member is nice and friendly. Definitely will go there again the next time I visit Istanbul. A thumbs up from me! Recommended!

Hasret Adıgüzel: It's a really lousy place. We ate a pasta with 80% pepper in one serving, such as a children's portion. The taste was also bad. We were left with the money we gave and we were left hungry. I read in other comments that there are bugs in the food. I believe it is 100% correct. Most likely, the restaurant owner spoke to us. But he introduced himself as a waiter. He told us to make bad comments. I'm just saying the bad reviews. Never go.
Su Tekin: It's a lousy place. We asked for pasta with chicken, so-called, two-three strands of pasta with fried bell pepper on a tiny plate. Small plates, even in child portions. To see the chicken, you have to search it with a microscope. It's pretty bad. As someone who has a command of Asian cuisine, I can really say that this place has nothing to do with Asian cuisine. When we complained, we were told that Asian cuisine is difficult and that these dishes are normal. I had to pay 25 liras for 50 grams of pasta and 150 grams of pepper. My only wish for the moment is not to be poisoned. Do not let the wise one go.

It has been serving near the first Hilton Hotel in Beyoğlu District for many years.Last week I have been here with my family and everything was excellent, as usual. We started with a Peking duck. As the main course we had beef with oyster sauce, sweet & sour chicken and garlic shrimp. For beverage we had jasmine tea. As for the desert we had fried banana. Steve Mostafa Dafer: A nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere and very welcoming servers. On the other hand, it's very expensive, and the portions are not big; however, we got several desserts on the house. Cats play between the tables so that could be an advantage or a disadvantage for you. 🐈 🐱

This place is a legendary restaurant. I don't know any other authentic Ottoman Empire cuisine. The food usually focuses on sweet and savory at the same time. All the menu items are consist of very traditional flavors.
This is not traditional Turkish cuisine - it is Ottoman food, so only worth a visit if you're in Istanbul for several days in my opinion. The food is really quite good and not something you'll find elsewhere. The service is friendly and waiters are multilingual. Just be aware that some of the entrees are quite sweet, so be sure to read the menu.

Sa Ki: If it was last restaurant remaining on earth that provides free food, I would still continiue crafting my axe and bow. On the (I would've eaten only berries till then) 10th day I would have finished crafting and would have went for hunting. After killing some small game, I would prepare it on stonefire, without salt, without pepper. And it still would be better food than in this restaurant.Food is undercooked. MKaan Öz: The menu is a bit pricey, but they have good food. If you are interested in far eastern cuisine and you don't mind the prices, it's a nice restaurant. The staff is friendly, the place is nice. I advise. If you are going for the first time, my suggestion is chicken with sweet and sour sauce. As sushi, I recommend the set of 14.

This is literally the perfect finding ! Starting from the design and the lovely decor, the food that is diverse from salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, pastas… beverages cola, juices… i brought my family to try it and they fell in live with it ! I can’t recommend it enough LITERALLY !! If you are going to Istanbul believe me you should give it a try and you will not regret it ! Thank you so much for this great food/quality/price/service experience!

Esra Akdoğan: A restaurant that thinks serving a local dish on a copper plate is a sufficient criterion to set a high price. The portions are appetizer-sized, the image is slurry, I'm not exaggerating in a meat dish, 2 pieces of cubed meat, a meal without a subplate, an empty table, unfriendly service, a heavy bill even though we didn't get any drinks. What a pity. I don't understand how it got famous. It's just the name.

Sorry, we couldn't see service. I wish they had said this is self service, at least we would have brought it to our table without spilling it.Price: It was presented at high prices in small portions, as if making fun of its old reputation, I think.Food quality: the food was overcooked and tasted well below average, as if they had fired the cook and served home cooked meals the night before. We also ordered very exaggerated expensive kebab from the branch opposite, but it was very oily in kebabs.There was no meat in what was served as a meat dish in home cooking. I mentioned this in the patroniceye standing at the cash register. Dan Cab: DO NOT accept the aperitif when asked. They charge 49€ per glass without telling you. Usually in Europe an aperitif is 10-20€ in Paris. Why they try to scam people is unreasonable. Everything else was fine but on this particular night they tried to scam all of the couples. Not ideal for a Michelin guide restaurant. I have already reported this to the Michelin org.

Hannah Vaitsblit: Total tourist trap! Avoid at all costs. Food is awful and ridiculously expensive. Cover charge and service charge over $20. Asparagus dish comes with 3 asparagus, everything tastes like it was made with store-bought sauce. Vibe is awful (everyone on their phones because food is so bad) and the waiters are running around like crazy (one almost ran into me because he was walking so fast). Feels like this place is a factory with a nice view. Michelin recommendation is a scam. They even had the nerve to demand tip for storing our coats. DO NOT eat here if you have any appreciation for good food.
The Lancy: Die Drinks waren top, der Service ebenfalls.Leider habe ich, obwohl ich es bei der Reservierung dazu geschrieben habe, plus mehrmals nachgefragt habe und das Restaurant nicht ansatzweise voll war, keinen Tisch direkt an der Fensterfront bekommen. Das war sehr ärgerlich, weil ich eigentlich nur dafür hin bin.Das Essen war leider nicht besonders gut, daher würde ich definitiv nicht nochmal kommen. Mit einer höheren Rechnung habe ich natürlich vorab gerechnet, aber knappe 100€ alleine? Für das Geld kann man fast in ein richtiges Sterne-Restaurant in Istanbul gehen.Dass es allerdings von Michelin empfohlen wird, ist mir wirklich ein Rätsel.
